Technical Project Manager - Washington DC and Middle East

​

Primary Responsibilities:

​

  1. Prepare proposals, statements of work, and detailed project plans for technical projects including key
    milestones, timelines, levels of effort, and cost estimates

  2. Lead teams on complex technical projects

  3. Establish success criteria and act as the single point of contact for all project deliverables

  4. Host regular project status meetings and translate technical updates into business-friendly action
    items

  5. Meet with executive and technical staff to review business requirements, budgets, and project scope

  6. Identify and analyze complex project related problems and craft innovative solutions

  7. Implement project review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with organizational and project management methodologies to ensure efficient and successful
    execution of projects

  8. Proactively capture and communicate changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise
    contingency plans

  9. Minimize risk and exposure across projects and communicate often

  10. Review technical solutions as presented by vendors and/or internal staff for technical feasibility, cost
    to implement and maintain, and general adherence to program priorities

  11. Readily make technology recommendations to complement existing solutions or as an alternate

  12. Manage technical resources effectively by unpacking technical tasks and maintaining focus on the
    customer

  13. Manage and coordinate project-related procurement if needed

  14. Evaluate performance results and recommend changes to ensure project success

  15. Create and maintain reporting mechanisms to demonstrate the overall health of the technology
    project portfolio, including program and project status, issues, and granular action item tracking

Minimum Qualifications:

​

  1. Bachelor of Computer Engineering or Business Administration

  2. Masters of Science in Project Management or equivalent

  3. Master of Science in Computer Engineering or equivalent

  4. PMP Certified

  5. ITILv3 Certified

  6. Fluent in English and Arabic

  7. Conducted research for higher education in project management and/or computer engineering theory or application

  8. Published in project management and/or computer engineering theory or application

  9. Experience working with higher-education customers in the Washington DC and Middle East markets

  10. Technical acumen for enterprise networking, network security, virtual computing, cloud computing, and wireless infrastructure in the higher education space in the Washington DC and Middle East markets
